I suffer from acne-prone skin and really thought that this would help keep the acne at bay, but by the 4th day of using it, my skin was breaking out even more. I continued to use it for the rest of the month, because I thought it might have been an initial breakout. I was wrong...after using it for one month, I had more acne than before, which eventually turned into dark scars. One thing though is that it smelled very fresh and was not as drying as other facial washes, so my skin didn't feel too tight or flaky after using it. However, I think if you have acne-prone skin, then definitely be careful when using this product.

I know I"m going to sound like a commercial, but I'm being totally serious, I bought this with the AcneFree system, just to use as a #1 step to remove my makeup.. bad idea.. using both at once while trying to tan dried my face out so bad! So, I started only using this product, After the first day.. my skin was clearing up more than it has in years. Im 20 years old and have tried many things, but as of now, this is and will be my #1. Please give it a try.. it feels so fresh and CLEAN.. and the best part.. it makes your face CLEAR!! Doesnt even feel like its a medication, its just so natural and seriously like a slap in the face that wiped all my acne away!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Finally!! I'm 43 years old and still suffer from many breakouts. "Acne" treatments were just too drying and routines for "normal" skin just didn't do enough. I was reluctant to try another acne treatment but the green tea to reduce redness tempted me and have used other St. Ives products in the past, so I gave it a go. In just one week, my blemishes are nearly gone and my skin is smoother and more evenly toned. Rough, stippled areas on my chin and under the jaw are dissapearing. I don't feel like sandpaper anymore. It isn't drying and it smells wonderful. I've just asked my 12 year old to start using this cleanser daily. Can't wait to see his results!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from BEST EVER I have very oily skin that is super prone to breakouts. After using this product for just like a week i started to notice my breakouts disappear. As i continued using this product i felt like i was glowing and more people started noticing my constantly improving skin. I paired this product with the St. Ives Green tea facial scrub to clear blackheads and this is a power house duo. I am so impressed with St. Ives products for being so productive all while being affordable. I know i will never switch unless these get pulled off the market.

I've tried probably all products that claim to help with acne, or "diminish it", but I've had no luck. I purchased the Naturally Clear Green Tea Cleanser, tried it, and within a couple of days, my skin has cleared up! I also use the Green Tea Scrub once or twice a week, too, which is a great exfoliant! I actually have a glow now, and the redness has decreased. I highly recommend this product to anyone who has seriously tried anything and everything for their acne-prone skin!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Crazily Amazing Man I've been wanting a facial wash that is super gentle yet removes most of my makeup residues without leaving my face dry. My face feels fresh, clean, and healthy! I love how this item is hypoallergenic, dermatology tested, paraben free, and so much more good stuff to it. These are all a plus since I have an oily/acne prone skin. So it's hard to find something like this. I'm almost done with my bottle and for some reason all the places that carry this item is currently out of stock which makes me sad! Anyways, this facial wash made my blemish go away and made my pores shrink! At first the smell was a little bit weird but then you get used to it after a while. Hopefully they don't discontinue this because I'd be super sad! Thanks St. Ives for innovating such wonderful product! Phew longest/first review I've ever done.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Controls my cystic acne! I seriously love this cleanser! I've struggled with cystic acne for years. After '09 Christmas I had one after the other till I'd had it. I tried this cleanser thinking the green tea has had promise in the news, and WOW! I have not had a bump for 3 months now. The spots from former bouts have lightened, the skin on my chin and cheeks has smoothed, my pores are smaller... I LOVE it. I did dry out a bit by my nose, but a sensitive skin moisturizer took care of that easily. Thank you St. Ives for this cleanser, and never stop making it- oh, and don't change it. =)

1. Squeeze a nickel size amount onto fingertips and gently massage onto face. 2. Spread in small, circular motions, applying gentle pressure to wake your skin’s natural circulation. 3. All hail the green tea revolution! Not only does it make a refreshing drink, but did you know its also got all sorts of skin benefits too? We’ve gone all green-eyed.
Our green tea leaves come from China and are processed in the traditional Chinese way. This involves heating them to stop oxidation so they stay that lovely vibrant green colour. The goodness is then extracted by very gently by soaking them. It takes a little longer but we think it’s worth it.
