Summer is giving its final push, and wants you to know it's not going anywhere yet! August's humidity increases skin's moisture, possibly leading to blocked pores. That means (yuck!) acne. Make a preemptive strike by adding these little improvements to your basic skincare routine.
Scrubs: Exfoliate no less than once a week with a natural scrub to keep pores clean and small.
Masks: Keep skin fresh by using a clay based mask once a week. It will help shrink the appearance of pores and keep added oil off your face.
Oil-blotting papers: Mop up excess shine with oil blotting papers before touching up with a compact. It will keep makeup from turning into layers of sludge!
Spray-on Sunscreen: Keep a spray bottle of sunscreen in your purse for reapplication every 4 hours. It's lighter than a lotion and gives skin a dewy (but not shiny!) finish.
By keeping skin this fresh, you'll need minimal makeup. Just swipe on some rosy blush and mascara, and keep a compact for oily spots during the day. Now get outside and enjoy those last days of summer!
