Always seek out eco-friendly solutions to improve our packaging.
St. Ives is committed to making the world a better place, so it makes sense for us to always seek out eco-friendly packaging solutions. That's why we use post-consumer resin (PCR) materials whenever we can. PCR is an "end product" that would otherwise be headed for the landfill but instead of dumping it, we recycle it, and in turn reduce our carbon footprint by using it in our packaging.

We're proud to say that all of our body lotions and most of our body washes come in bottles with a minimum PCR content of 20%. By using PCR in our bottles, we are keeping over an estimated 300,000 pounds of waste out of landfills every year, and we're working on incorporating PCR across the entire line, so we can help the environment even more in the future.

Our goal is to get more materials that can be recycled...recycled. That's why we've gone through our extensive line of products and included the recycling number on each label.
Here is how you can help us keep our commitment:
  • Locate the recycling number on our product package to find out what can be recycled and where to take it.
  • Carefully cut the end tubes off and rinse out the containers.
  • Keep the cap with the tube when you recycle the packaging.
  • Recycle it!
Recycling varies from community to community, but the four primary methods are:
  • curbside collection
  • drop-off centers
  • buy-back centers
  • deposit/refund programs
