This past Christmas, I asked Santa (aka: my parents who still spoil me rotten) for a new blender. I had one that had broken during my move from NYC to upstate and had never bothered to replace it in a year and a half. Apples are lunchbox staples. Peaches a familiar mid-summer treat. But the peach's relative, the apricot, has always seemed unexpected and intriguing to me.
